Isn't this double jeopardy?
How can a state punish a person twice by including points on a drivers record that a person has already been punished for. Punished for a dui with probation, license suspended and then resrticted, drug alcohal screens, counseling. A year later another traffic ticket brings points to 14 and another license suspenion by the state. While still on probation for the dui. Now can't drive to court ordered punishments for the dui. If the points for the dui weren't included the state would not have suspended the license. There is a drivers responsibility fee of 1000 for dui for 2 years and more fees for points but when adding up your fees they do not include your points for the dui when tallying your fees for points. Confused? I am. Double jeopardy? Your right sure does look like it.
