I live in PA and currently have an interlock device installed on my car. A device which has been quite a bit of trouble as it is not to mention the atitude of the technition who services it. Now that I have gotten this far and can almost see the light and the end, I have no wish to screw things up.
One evening, I had the apparent bad luck to eat a donut while I was driving my car and the device called for a retest. Much to my surprise, I was failed, for eating a donut. So now what, will I be accused for driving under the influence?? Will this cause further suspension of my license?? Do I even have any rights as far as this goes or am I instantly judged guilty. All because the interlock device can't distinguish between an alcoholic beverage or a bread product?? Or maybe the whole purpose of an interlock device is to generate income for the state??

[...] But if you think you're safe just because you only drink alcohol... well... you better be glad you don't live in Pennsylvania. They're trying to pass legislation that would require all cars sold in the state to have ignition interlock systems to prevent you from driving if you're blood alcohol level is above .025. That would equal one drink... or possibly a slice of toast.
