However I think too much emphasis is placed on drunk driving and not enough attention to the things that cause the other 80% of fatal crashes like cell phone conversations, tail gating, tiredness, and just plain not paying attention among other things. This country does seem to need alcohol and drugs. And, if you didn't drink regularly before your DUI charge, you certainly will after. The stress, hopelessness, degradation, and embarrassment will certainly have you saddle up to the bar. A DUI charge looms over you for years and no one cares about the details of what happened. You truly are 'damned if you do, and damned if you don't'. So, what's the difference? The ending is 100% true. This country does seem to need alcohol and drugs.
